ABSTRACT
An elderly female presented with an inability to stand
and walk. She had a previous diagnosis of poorly controlled hypertension.
Neurological examination showed an inability to stand or walk, with preserved
ability to sit. Five days later, brain magnetic resonance imaging showed a
right‑sided corpus callosum
infarct. She was able to stand up without any support 29 days after admission.
Key-words: Astasia, corpus callosum, stroke
