- focal deficits correlating w/ vascular territory
- lasting < 24h
ABCD2 score
- score > 3, admit patient
Management
- treat like a stroke
- brain MRI w/o contrast
- calculate the ABCD2 to define DAPT or only aspirin
- load ASA (324 mg) + clopidogrel (300 mg), fu ASA (81 mg) + clopidogrel (75 mg) 21 d if:
> ABCD2 score ≥ 4
> acute infarct MRI but low NIHSS (<4)
*statistical benefit only for infarct on MRI
*should be given within 72 h
