- eShunt
> slit valve prevent retrograde flow
> malecot prevent migration and occlusion
> no siphon effect (like VPS)
Anatomy
- venous enter, IJV, inferior petrous sinus
- perforate inferior petrous sinus and cerebellopontine angle cistern, connecting these two structures
- CPA cistern size
- bone territory not covering the cistern
- venous vascular territory being big enough for doing procedure
- AICA territory, to avoid puncture
Complications
- transient CN VI palsy
- eShunt can be removed with SNARE
